So I am going to lose it if I don't decide pretty soon exactly what I'm doing with my baby boys room! I'm not sure why I have become so COMPLETELY absorbed with getting his room perfectly complete so soon but I just can't help it...I am officially a woman OBSESSED...
Anyway, I thought I'd post a few pics of some of the ideas I have seen that are constantly floating around my poor poor overloaded brain... of course there are many more that I haven't actually "seen" which makes it even more of a pain...AAAAGGGGHHH!
These few pictures do no justice to the mind boggling number of thoughts and ideas that are bouncing around my brain all day long but it's just a taste for anyone interested in the frenzied mind of a nesting pregnant woman who LOVES to decorate!!!
ps we're not naming the baby Ethan I just liked the eclectic lettering!!!

I love LOVE that first picture. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Oooooh. Love the alphabet pic at the bottom! I might steal that if you're not careful! ;o)
this is all SO cute! I love the "eclectic" wall lettering. Where did you find these photos? The great thing about all these photos is that you can take ideas from each one and incorporate them into one room...so you can have your cake and eat it too! LOVE IT!
Remember...blue and green are both calming colors, brown is nice and neutral...orange is stimulating. you might not want to stimulate baby in the room he's going to be sleeping in. I like the idea of brown accent colors....
you're very normal by the way, remember my crazy lists? I've already got a mental one going, I'm planning on rearranging every room in the house before baby comes.
Okay first let me say the ethan name with the picture frames and mirrors is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!! and I might just have to plan a visit up there to paint you some pictures. (the crocodile is so cute and the giraffe) and everything you do is so cute mj, don't let yourself obsess over it being perfect. Everything you touch becomes amazingly cute. good luck chica!
I'm a big fan of the orange room, but it's true what Olivia said, orange is a stimulating color. Babies are most likely to cry in yellow rooms (don't ask me why, it was just something I read when I was researching color meaning). I'm also a big fan of making the nursery unisex. That way, you're not having to redecorate with every other child. Plus, keep in mind that black and white contrast is beloved by newborns and babies. Kaitlyn's favorite wall when she was born had big, chunky black framed black and white photos. She would just stare and stare at it.
Paint the room pink. That will really mess the kid up!
