it's friday. thank the lord.

(Because I made it for my sister and she kinda really loved it.)

This was one intense week over here. There were a couple days/nights I didn't think we'd all survive it in one piece but alas, the weekend is here and that means time to rest.

Rest? Haaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha that's a laugh!

On this weekends agenda...

*HP7 w/the newly wedded Connons!
*Relief Society Craft day... I'm in charge of the wreath making table. Get ready to work your fingers to the bone ladies!
*Mad Clean-A-Thon/Cookie Baking Extravaganza
*Sisters coming to town! Woot woot!!!
*Sunday church services (neeeeding those this week BIG TIME)!

And fingers crossed for a nap or two and a me that's nice to the men I love most instead of a hormonal maniac. Yes, it has been a rough week. Should not have skipped girls night out. Change must be in the air soon.

(Because I keep getting questions as to how I got my hair to do this... It is called a Waver. Mine is by Vidal Sassoon but they are everywhere now. Just make sure you get a LARGE barrel waver, otherwise you'll get the crimped look!)

Man this weekend was a whirlwind of good times!

Ok, the softball game Friday night was not awesome. We lost BIG TIME. But I still had a decent amount of fun and afterwards we had some pretty yummy food so that makes it all better right?

Saturday brought a little crafting, skype-ing with Drew's parents, grocery shopping, a NOLE victory and hosting a wedding shower for a dear couple. I am happy for them. And it was a fun and romantic night.

*Side note* Miles can now climb out of the grocery cart. I spent the majority of my shopping trip trying to wrangle the little devil down from death defying heights! He is a genius and a wild man and I love him. 

Sunday, ah Sunday. Woke up to an especially adoring husband; always nice (especially when theres time to enjoy it.) Church was AWESOME as usual. Especially Relief Society. I love our teachers. Always so uplifting. Miles walked right into nursery w/o a peep and didn't want to leave when we came back to get him!  Darn you LINDLEY and MICHAEL and your bubbles!!! 

After church was the most glorious nap. Napping while it's raining outside just makes me whole some how. I don't know what it is. I am so grateful for this gray, rainy weather these past two days. It is absolutely what I needed.

Then we had a great dinner with new friends. Sigh, I love getting to know new people. Especially funny and interesting ones. I'm pretty sure Drew found his musical soul mate. Or at least a long lost cousin.  I am going to force them to start a monthly jam session or something. Any other takers? C'mon, I know some guys read this blog too! And I am so happy to have met a sweet and sassy southern girl who's not afraid to speak her mind.  Yes, dinner was good.

After dinner Drew and I put our angel to bed and tried to catch up on our Fall TV line up. Whoa. That beast is outta control. I laughed the most at 30 Rock and Big Bang Theory I'm pretty sure. But overall I think the new season will be pretty good.

Mkay, this post is prolly not very interesting to most but it was our weekend. Now my BFF is on her way to spend nap time w/me and I get to cuddle her sweet baby girl. Good times.

Oh yes and General Conference is this weekend!!! So ready!!!

- Church as a single mom ( Deepest respect and admiration to all of you that do this every week. How my mama did it I'll never know)

- Baby boy slapping me across the face repeatedly during sacrament meeting.

- Sunday nap (oh so good)

- Hubby back to normal and doin' what he does very best, lovin' me.

The weekend is here! Finally!!!


Things I want/must/kinda oughta do this weekend...


1. Play our very first softball game! (Hubby and I joined a team. Yep, we're joiners.)
2. Finally get hubby's birthday gift... Keyless Entry in the CR-V! We are so ready for this!
3. Watch FSU dominate Oklahoma... (fingers crossed for a miracle)
4. Maybe hit my favorite haunts for some new shirts/pants. (What!?! It's fall now, time to update.)
5. Indulge in the donut I have been craving all week long. (Really hoping for this one!)
6. Take Miles for a stroll around the neighborhood. (Without the stroller.)
7. Get down to business planning the floral arrangements for a sweet friends upcoming wedding.
8. Church, ah my Sunday sweetness. I need me some church this weekend. 
9. Quality time with my man. (Sorry, I have been nothing but tired and LAME this week hunny)
10. Just because 10 is a nice number to end a list on... Maybe maybe see about starting Mocking Jay...

letters to drew...

Dear Drew, I love you. Thanks for making me laugh all weekend. I guess having no plans wasn't so bad after all. It was pretty nice being home all weekend with you and our very cute (though very cranky teething) tiny.

I especially liked the part when we swing danced for like an hour and a half and I chicken winged you right in the guts. Ha! And it was fun looking thru all of the kimbe photos and picking our faves together... Also pigging out on pizza and ice cream was pretty good I suppose. :0) Now we begin another crazy work week and (eek P90X round two.) Ah well, relaxation was fun while it lasted!

Let's have a weekend all to ourselves again soon K?

have i gone completely nut-so???

perhaps. because right now i am blogging while my two very most favorite boys are sleeping ever so peacefully. I should join them in happy slumber land but I feel jittery and bloggeriffic so here I am...

some things have happened this weekend...some good...some not so good...

Goodies:

1. I re-lost the 3 LBS I gained at the Cabinets by LeMay open house party.

2. Boobie and I had a FABULOUS dinner in with old friends Friday night.

3. Saturday brought yet another delicious dinner with a darling couple and their adorable baby boy who I will soon be watching for them!

4. I got to spend the entire weekend with the Meester and Boobie.

5. Had the most delectable peach cobbler EVAH!


NOT SO GOODIES:

1. Didn't get to hit the pool with my lovelies and our cute babes.

2. Had to work out like a fiend to re-lose the 3 LBS I gained at the CBL open house party.

3. Had to leave sacrament meeting early due to sad sad Meester's grouchy over-tiredness.

4. Pooped out during Yoga X today...

5. The AC in our casa may have to be replaced... boo.

6. Gained 1.4 LBS from the delectable peach cobbler.

ok so right now the bad list is longer than the good list so lemme add one more goodie

I'm getting SUPER EXCITED for my BFF's baby shower next weekend!!!



yes, I am aware that the picture posted above has absolutely nada to do with this post but that's what happens when you lose the camera cord...sniffle. Luckily my hero husband has ordered me a new one. he takes good care of me always. i love you boobie...i'm coming in there to nuzzle you now (even though you said it's too hot in our house to touch)
