miles makes me skinny. (sorta)

This morning I was carrying my tiny guy around and as I walked past the mirror I noticed that with him on my hip I looked totally un-pregnant! (Not that I'm complaining about being prego, yall know I have it way too EEEEEASY when it comes to that department.) But in that moment I looked like good ole regular sized me... maybe even almost skinny! Ha! So of course I re-created the exact angle and made Drew take a picture. Just cuz it's nice to feel skinny these days, even if  it requires using my toddler to hide the basket ball belly :0) And plus, you can't deny your love for my stripey pj pants and big fluffy slippers. C'mon.

(Also pictured... Mable Muffin Moo our tiny pomeranian, and a snippet of my vanity with my eeek aerosol hairspray... haven't gone quite that green yet... Oops!)

Do I look non-prego to you or am I just reaching here?

sick and sexy-fied.

First of all, don't act like you don't want my sweat pants. You know they are awesome. Secondly, what the what!?! 26 weeks??? When did that happen???

Baby is cooking right along here. Moving all the time and getting bigger every minute. I have decided against the name Felix. Yes, I do have a very fickle and ever changing mind. But... I am crazy in love with another name. So much so that I don't want to disclose it all over blog land just yet. But it is good and it makes my heart happy.

In other news, I do NOT enjoy gaining weight. Make it stop! Can't I just get an adorable tiny bundle in my arms without swelling up like a Christmas ham? No? Fine. But when this sucker pops out my body best be ready for some hard core workouts. I can't wait to workout til I feel like puking again! Yes! Bring it! The only problem will be finding the time... and babysitter... and maid... and chef... Whatever no excuses right?

My first born has really been giving me a run for my money lately. Anything resembling a typical sleep schedule has flown out the window. Last night I admitted defeat and slept on the floor in his room to keep him in his bed. Ouch. 6 1/2 months prego + floor sleeping = mommy in pain. What am I going to do???

Tired and a tad cranky,

25 weeks and a ramble.

(This bump is in full swing! It's crazy that we're only 14 weeks away from meeting this little guy!)
Week 25 weight: 147.4
Cravings: Clam chowder and doughnuts
Name: Still undecided
Activity: He is moving around like there are 5 of him in there

I have decided that pregnancy makes me crazier than I already am. I mean, there is seriously enough going on in this head of mine without baby brain on top of it all. I am so so so so thrilled to be carrying this bundle of boy and I do in fact LOVE being pregnant, I'm one of the lucky ones who barely gets any symptoms and just gets to enjoy the whole 10 months. It is good. But the effect these extra hormones have on my already differently-abled brain... that's another story.

Like yesterday, I turned the burner on the stove on to make dinner and totally forgot about it. Not just about the burner, about dinner as well... And about the chair that was sitting atop my stove so baby boy couldn't break his neck climbing it. Drew swears I'm gonna burn the house down soon. Let's hope not.

Then last night, I was sooooo exhausted from the days work and the battle I've been waging with a cold but as soon as my head hit the pillow my mind started racing. It ran in circles until 4:30 am. And Miles must have felt the vibe because he joined the party from 2:30-5:00. he finally fell asleep on top of Drew on the couch early this morning. Long night.

It isn't exactly rare for me to have sleepless nights really. Whenever my anxiety/ocd starts acting up sleep is the first thing to go. Followed shortly there after by my appetite. I can handle the occasional all nighter but it's been two nights in a row now and my tired, pregnant body is desperate for rest. A nice long winters nap. Tonight, you will be mine.

I was granted a tender mercy today though. The one baby I am caring for this week (everyone else is home for the holidays) stayed home with family. So, I am officially on Christmas vacation! No more work til Monday! And Monday is my baby boys birthday! I can hardly believe he's already turning two. Ah how I love him so. But that is another topic for another day.

Now, I just need to keep myself awake for another 7 or 8 hours and then I will crash (hopefully).

Happy blogging!

welcome welcome ba hoo doray.

Can you tell I've been watching A LOT of the grinch lately?

Here are some adorably random pictures of Miles and the Halloween lizard.

(Very chic if you ask me.)

Today is me and baby's 24 week appointment. I can not believe there are only 16 weeks until we meet this little guy. He is always moving around, kicking and saying hello to me these days. I LOVE knowing that there is an adorable little bundle of sweet baby boy living in my tummy. It is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Knowing what I do now about how much you really love your kids, this pregnancy has been so much more emotional.

The closer I get to holding my angel the more I feel like I know his name. For a few weeks now I have really felt like his name is Felix. I don't really talk about it a lot because in the end, other peoples opinions about what Drew and I decide to name our baby don't really count for much but I felt like sharing today for those who I know are interested. (In other words, if you hate it, keep it to your self...hee hee.)

Now, before you start thinking about orange kitty cats that live in dumpsters and eat fish bones hear me out...

* Felix means happy, lucky, fortunate and successful. (All of which he will most certainly be.)
* Felix was the name of the chemist who discovered Asprin... (Your welcome.)
* Felix Hoffman was a renowned German Romantic composer. (And we can all be sure this baby will be musical.)
* Felix sounds great with Miles.
* Felix sounds really really cute when Miles says it. (Okay, okay, most things sound cute when Miles says them but still.)
* Felix is better than Linus. At least for this baby boy.

Maybe it won't end up being his name in the end, only time will tell but lately it's the one I like the most for our lil guy.

Also, any interest in learning how to make a bib necklace? Nothing says Merry Christmas like a nice piece of statement jewelry yes?

(Please disregard my stray bangs...I'm trying to grow them out. AGAIN. Bleh.)

Make Monday Awesome.

whoa.

My bump. My bump, my bump, my bump. My lovely baby bump!
I feel like I am pretty big for 24 weeks but maybe not. I don't know, I am probably obsessing too much. (No...that doesn't sound like me does it?)

(Me 24 weeks prego with Miles...finishing a 5K. Hmmmm. Should I be doing more? Probably.)

Last night I got to go out with some of my very favorite people and enjoy a fun movie! We celebrated the most beautiful girls birthday!

Have you ever seen a more breath taking birthday girl? Me either.
Happy Birthday to my lovely sister! May this year bring many more adventures your way!

work it.

Here we go again! It's Fashion Week at Windy Poplars and I'll be participating a little this week! I don't have as much gusto (nor as many cute clothes that still fit) this time around but I'm gonna give it the old college try!

Today's theme... What you wear to work...

(Why yes, I do have the flattest granny butt in all the land. Seriously considering implants...)

Mine is easy and a little sad! But hey, it's the truth and also gave me a chance to capture my 20 week baby bump! That's right people, we're halfway there!!! If you don't already know, I work from home, caring for lil kiddos from 7:30am-6:00pm. You can understand why I don't sport my finest attire during working hours!

Also, we got home yesterday from a whirlwind weekend of theatre and visiting family. My sister starred in Steele Magnolias in Georgia this past Fri-Sun and we were able to catch the Saturday night show. Congratulations Jasmine! You were wonderful and I cant wait to see where your talents take you!

(Isn't she just stunning? And this is w/o a stitch of make-up!)

Have fun joining fashion week this time! More details here!
