work it.

Here we go again! It's Fashion Week at Windy Poplars and I'll be participating a little this week! I don't have as much gusto (nor as many cute clothes that still fit) this time around but I'm gonna give it the old college try!

Today's theme... What you wear to work...

(Why yes, I do have the flattest granny butt in all the land. Seriously considering implants...)

Mine is easy and a little sad! But hey, it's the truth and also gave me a chance to capture my 20 week baby bump! That's right people, we're halfway there!!! If you don't already know, I work from home, caring for lil kiddos from 7:30am-6:00pm. You can understand why I don't sport my finest attire during working hours!

Also, we got home yesterday from a whirlwind weekend of theatre and visiting family. My sister starred in Steele Magnolias in Georgia this past Fri-Sun and we were able to catch the Saturday night show. Congratulations Jasmine! You were wonderful and I cant wait to see where your talents take you!

(Isn't she just stunning? And this is w/o a stitch of make-up!)

Have fun joining fashion week this time! More details here!

blue.

I am absoluely over the moon with the news that there's a tiny bundle of baby BOY living inside me right now! As soon as I saw the little heart beating on the ultrasound yesterday I started crying. Then the tech said his heart, brain, kidneys, diaphram, everything looked perfect. More crying.  She measured his feet, exactly one inch long. More crying. Then we let Drew wager a guess to the gender and he could (just like with Miles) plainly see that it was a boy. More and more crying. I am so overwhelmed with joy and love for this baby boy already.

I guess the feelings are much stronger much earlier this time because I know exactly how much I care for this baby. I know how I feel about Miles and that I'll feel the exact same for this new little man. When we saw Miles' ultrasound I knew I wanted him and that he would always be mine but I had NO IDEA just how much he would fill my heart to overflowing everyday. I honestly have never loved anyone the way I love him. And I think that's how it's supposed to be.

I have to say once more that there is nothing greater in this world than being a mother. It is a blessing in every way. I am so grateful the Lord has trusted me with another of his choice young men to raise. Lord, please don't let me mess this up!

In honor of our bundle of boy I scrounged up some pretty blue photographs via google search. Enjoy the celebration of BLUE!

Annnndddd... Since I know you can't bear to be without a picture of the lil cutie pie, here ya go! 18 weeks and going strong!!!

Seriously, have you ever seen anything more perfectly beautiful? Me either.

so sometimes...

Sometimes I wake up at exactly 2am to pee every night in a row for like 2 weeks.
Sometimes I am so tired that just sitting on  the couch wears me out.
Sometimes I eat Funyons right before bed cuz I just need to.
Sometimes my moods get to swinging like George of the Jungle on speed.
Sometimes I find my pants aren't fitting like I want them to anymore.
Sometimes I get so excited I can barely stand it.
Sometimes I am absolutely terrified.
Sometimes my Dr. tells me I look bloated and I want to slap her.
Sometimes the names Henry and Violet make my heart feel so happy..

spontaneous trip.

M-kay, so one of the items on my summer list is to take a spontaneous trip and this one is really baffling me. I don't really want to "plan" it per say (cuz then it wouldn't be spontaneous) but I kinda wanna atleast know where we are going before we jump in the car and get crazy... That way I can prepare needful things and pack for the Meester and what not... but I have NO IDEA where we should go.

So, I am asking for you're suggestions... where have you been that my family should visit...?

The trip must be

1. Cheap and I mean down-and-dirty cheap (cuz we broke)

2. Not too far away...within 200 miles I'd say.

3. Some place Meester friendly

4. Some place with AMAZING food

5. Some place really fun

Help a sista out ladiez!!!

xoxo,
M

PS
Just so you all know, last night we visited the sweetest new bundle of baby girl in the hospital!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD BRIANNA KAY!!!

And CONGRATS to two lucky parents!!!

Some things I've learned this week

1. Insomnia makes me hungry...which makes me cranky.

2. Boobie loves me a lot. especially when I'm having a pity party.

3. I am starting to get baby fever. ( I blame all my ADORABLE prego friends for that one)... and the insane cutie-pie-ness of my Meester.

4. I will ABSOLUTELY NOT be getting pregnant anytime soon.

5. I am a list maker.

6. I have kind of a lot to do before my house is fully baby-proofed.

7. Only like three people read this blog.

8. I really enjoy blogging.

9. I HATE my hair. (but hopefully not for long)

10. I absolutely LOVE laughing more than doing anything else. (even eating peanut butter crack, and that's saying something)

Speaking of that, tonight I cracked myself up while leaving my girlfriend a message about sausage (random I know) but I did laugh till I snorted so mark that off of my summer list! Woo Hoo!

11. I just maybe have decided that I maybe could handle twins if the Lord sees fit to one day maybe bless me with them. maybe. big. maybe.

12. When I go a while without talking to my friends I get absolutely silly with glee when they finally call!

13. I should really be sleeping right now.

Maybe I'll go and try that.

p.s.
the Meester is back in the big comfy bed with us... thanks a lot Michelle! :o)

Sweet dreams loves,

M
