A Blessed Day
My sweet baby boy,
This weekend was a very special one for our little family. On Sunday February 1st, 2009 your daddy gave you a name and a blessing. It was so beautiful to see you in your tiny all white suit surrounded by worthy and wonderful priesthood holders. I was able to hold you in my arms while your daddy blessed you. He called you by name and blessed you with many important gifts that will help you throughout your life baby. I am so proud of how calm and peaceful you were throughout the program. You won't remember, but you were there to hear a room FULL of people that love you singing "I Am a Child of God" and "Families Can Be Together Forever" and your Granny saying a beautiful prayer that had most of the room in tears before the program even began. I was snuggling you close while your daddy shared his testimony all about Heavenly Fathers' love for His children and how much daddy loves you and me. Daddy said he would do ANYTHING to make us happy. He loves us a whole bunch little boy. We are very very lucky.
You were there to hear your Aunt Lindsey tell us all how much forever families mean to her and Uncle Jacob speak of his love for the gospel and his own wonderful family. Even mommy said a few words (and I am not one for public speaking lil man.) Your Amay said the closing prayer thanking Heavenly Father for sending you to our family and blessing all the delicious food we were all about to enjoy!
You had people come from hours and hours away to see you on your Big Day baby boy. Uncle Jared, Granny and Pop Pop even flew on a plane to get here!!! I can already tell what a special person you are Miles, your smiles and coos make my heart melt and you make daddy and me smile and laugh everyday. We are looking forward to a life full of loving you!!! You are very very loved sweetness and I can't wait to be here for every minute of you growing up!!! Happiest blessing day Miles Carter Blimes!!!
I love you Forever,
Thank you so much everyone that was able to make it for Miles' most special day! You've all seen Drew and I thru so much and we knew this day couldn't be the same without you!!! We missed our sweet family and friends that weren't able to make it but you were there in spirit!!!
